Wide, Low, Motor in the Back
You build, then you sail a course. Gold is the clear. The first boat that finishes is a flat wide hull, a motor at the back, and a seat locked in the middle. Height is how you tip. Creativity is for the boat that already survives the stage you farm.
Watch the hazard before you add parts. Lava wants blocks that do not melt. A speed stage wants another motor, not a flag.
Motors, Hull, Seat
Motor blocks, strong hull blocks, and a chair are the top of our list. Balloons and jets are the next shelf, including the skip routes balloons open. Shield blocks sit with them. Glass and flags are looks. Cosmetic-only blocks are what you add when the boat already finishes.
Buy the part the stage is deleting. A premium block on a boat you do not run is gold sitting in a dock.
Farm the Stage You Clear
Repeat the course you finish. A team can make a clear easier and it splits the reward. That trade is fine when you were failing alone. It is a pay cut when you were already finishing.
Minimal builds are the later trick. Learn them after the wide hull is boring, not as the first boat.

That gold is a motor or hull blocks. The balloon from =P is a part, not a finished skip route. Redeem them once and go sail.
The Order
Redeem Squid Army. Build wide and low. Put the motor behind the seat. Clear one stage until the gold buys the block that stage breaks. Then add a balloon if a skip is real.
If you only change one habit: stop stacking height. The boat that stays upright is the one that gets paid.
